They have a variety of uses and applications one of the main ones being to keep a door closed to limit the spread of fire and draught throughout a building.

This Yale YALP2002 size 3 is a surface mounted door closer, suitable for right or left hand doors, with separate adjustments for closing and latching speeds for a comfortable close, the YALP2002 has an adjustable arm so you obtain the correct pressure.
